Fresh Start is an aftercare facility, not a drug or alchohol treatment facility. We are not a detox center. If you are still in active addiction to alchohol and/or drugs feel free to contact us so that we can guide you or your loved one in the right direction, or contact a 12 step program such as Alchoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous or Cocaine Anonymous to seek help.
What a Fresh Start offers you as a participant is safe housing once you are clean and sober. As you begin your battle against addiction, you will receive support and encouragement from your peers. These are people who have lived through many of the same situations that you are about to encounter, and have remained clean and sober despite what curves life has thrown them. We give the newcomer a built in support network where help and a sense of fellowship that is much needed in early sobriety can be found.
Fresh Start homes are homes like any other. Our clients are individuals who are not indigent. We do not work with "state funded" clients.
Fresh Start works with people who need a little extra support in early recovery and need to be around others in the same situation. Isolation and loneliness are big triggers. Our clients are free to come and go as they please as long as they return clean and sober.
All our clients are subject to random breathalyzers and drug screens. One needs to be completely sure that recovery is their number one desire. A person goes to rehab to learn about their disease of addiction and the tools needed in order to stay sober once they come to us at A Fresh Start. It is up to the individual to utilize these tools that they've learned in rehab in order to stay sober.
We work with adults, so we do not hold anyone's hand nor do we work anyone's program for them. We do provide our participants with a ton of peer and staff support.
Those who do these simple things are successful in their recovery and don't ever have to come back to treatment as long as they continue once they leave our facility. Those who do not, end up coming back or dying.
We take recovery very seriously and so do our participants. We help those who want our help. We will not force recovery upon anyone. However, we need and ask anyone who wants to enter our program to be completely sure that they want recovery and we will do everything in our power to help them achieve their goals.
