While there is no minimum length of stay, most people stay 6 to 8 months. However, a stay of 10 to 12 months is suggested.

The day of Intake (move in day) curfew is 10pm. For the first 30 days of stay curfew is 11pm, 7 days a week. After the first 30 days of stay, curfew is 12am Sunday-Thursday and 2am on Friday-Saturday.
Yes, we can make exceptions due to work schedules. A Fresh Start encourages all of its residents to seek and obtain active employment. If your work schedule requires you to work past curfew, you must first request permission from a house manager and then provide verifiable proof of working past the curfew (i.e. clock out sheet, time card etc.)

Yes, the resident can request an overnight pass. Residents must apply for over night passes and the request must be submitted 3 days prior to the house manager.
No, we expect and require our residence to have financial means to support their recovery.
Fresh Start does not assist residents with job placement.
No pets.
Fresh Start does not provide daily meals. Part of independent living requires residents to supply and prepare their own meals. Residents have access to a modern community kitchen, appliances, dishes/silverware, pots and pans, and storage for their food.
Room occupants vary depending on the size of the room, but normally 2-3 beds.

Yes, each house has a weekly in-house recovery meeting for its residents (no outside attendees are permitted)
Call the office up to 7 days ahead of the desired move in day to complete a brief (5-10 minutes) Phone Assessment (if a potential client is calling with a shorter timeline than 7 days we are happy to work with them to get them in sooner). Then, if coming from treatment, medical records will be requested to clear potential residents to come to A Fresh Start. Once cleared, in order to schedule an Intake appointment (move in day), a non-refundable Intake Payment is required to cover the first full week of stay. Once payment has been made, call the office to schedule Intake. Intakes are by appointment only and available Monday – Friday, 10am-3:30pm. You are required to move in on the day of your Intake by 10pm.
Twin size bedding, any medications, toiletries. Be able to provide food for yourself.
We do not provide transportation to and from intakes.
No, we do not accept people on house arrest.
Residents cannot have people spend the night.
In the unfortunate event of a relapse, you must vacate the properly immediately. If you are discharged for a relapse, you will be referred to a detox facility. Re-admittance to A Fresh Start is not guaranteed. Further information about our relapse policy is available in our resident handbook.
Yes, you are welcome at Fresh Start until the birth of your child.
